The School's Art courses cover all artistic practices and hybrid forms, but what stands out is the attention paid to "doing" and a marked interest in pictorial practices in all their contemporary diversity.

École Supérieure d’Art et Design de Saint-Étienne (Esadse, France)

Saint-Étienne Higher School of Art and Design (Esadse) trains artists, designers and other creatives in many areas of these disciplines. In 1998, the teaching teams at the school launched the Biennale Internationale Design Saint-Étienne and in 2010, Saint-Étienne became a UNESCO Creative City of Design. The School's Art courses cover all artistic practices and hybrid forms, but what stands out is the attention paid to "doing" and a marked interest in pictorial practices in all their contemporary diversity.

The Arts and Crafts aujourd’hui programme began in 2018 and is led by the Modernity Experimentation Laboratory (LEM).

It is a place of learning and research and a huge creative and productive workshop that has shaped generations of artists, designers and creators of projects.

The School aims to enable its students to develop their individual artistic and professional practices by positioning them in a space that takes a reflective and critical view of the arts. In recent years, a number of new courses have been created, including masters' in Exhibition Practices, Publishing Practices and Urban Design.
