[https://www.citedudesign.com/ (Saint-Étienne Higher School of Art and Design)] (Esadse) trains artists, designers and other creatives in many areas of these disciplines. Thanks to a vision that sees art and design as complementary disciplines, its courses are organised to encourage dialogue and synergies between these two streams. In 1998, the teaching teams at the school launched the Biennale Internationale Design Saint-Étienne and in 2010, Saint-Étienne became a UNESCO Creative City of Design. The School's Art courses cover all artistic practices and hybrid forms, but what stands out is the attention paid to "doing" and a marked interest in pictorial practices in all their contemporary diversity.
